Hello world! Well, this is my first ever blog post, and honestly, I have no clue where to begin. So, I will just go with the flow. This post should have been out last week during the Easter long weekend, but I got distracted with my busy schedule.
My Passion Discovered
Did you all enjoy that Easter weekend like I and my family did? Easter time has always been one of my favorite time of the year- For those of you who came across my ABOUT US page on my Slices & Bites website (slicesandbites.ca), you may remember I mentioned my love for cakes and my journey as a Cake Artist was first discovered during this Holy weekend. I like to go all out during this time, first remembering the crucifixion, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It’s that time
I spend with my family being grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made for us all.
Our Fun Moments

We made an Easter Bunny Farm House and recorded a video of it for my daughter’s YouTube channel, (https://youtu.be/tVysT0Mg-oo.) She had so much fun.
Of course, we painted and decorated eggs. Following was our big scavenger hunt around our house. In past years we would have an egg hunt at home and we would also go to a farm and take part in an egg hunt there, along with other activities like face painting, wagon rides and visiting the animals, etc. You know, just like most of you do. However, due to covid-19, we are all confined to our homes, right? So we make the most of it.
Being Grateful
I must say of all the fun I’ve had in the past during Easter, this year was my favorite. How weird is that! There is something about being at home with my family, spending adequate time with each other. Having a big Easter dinner, praying together, and enjoying each other’s company. If there is one good thing, this pandemic brought to our family is allowing us the time from our busy schedule to be close to each other.
